Eco Friendly.

We try to be eco friendly here, and have developed processes to help with this.

• Pine pellets used as cat litter are cheap, biodegradable, and turn to sawdust once wet.  We sift the litter boxes daily, meaning we only discard used litter and faeces, retaining whole pellets to be reused.
• Once our used litter bins are full, we put the used litter into our new spreader to be spread on to paddocks, giving a bonus of helping the soil structure and fertility.  Saving us dumping or burning.
• If feeding cats wet food, we prefer to use canned food rather than sachets, as cans are recyclable. 
• We have recently installed a solar system on the property, ensuring most of the power used by the cattery (and us at home) is eco friendly.
